________________________________________________________________________

In the beginning….Don Cranford, Cranford, Inc., Spreckles, California, realized that the micronization process could help him

to supply agricultural producers with compost tea. Until 1998, the tea was prepared in a large vat and

trucked to the fields in water trucks for application through spray equipment. "It was expensive to be

hauling that water all over California," says Cranford. He now sells micronized compost, which can be used

to make "instant" compost tea in the field. Now…..Tea application has proven successful with  control of white fly and aphids on lettuce, tomatoes and other crops. Cranford is also working with some golf courses to determine the effects of a regular tea program. In the future…. we will keep you posted on all ongoing trials using this amazing product.

Cranford's Granulated Compost is listed by OMRI for use in organic production and meets all requirements determined by the State of California.

Text Box: Increases Soil Microbe Population
Text Box: A fertilizer extender
Text Box: Plant stress reducer
Text Box: Ideal for golf courses and parks where newly colonized microbes will start utilizing grass clippings for long lasting, greener lawns. Your patrons will appreciate the fact that a more natural approach is being used on the grass they play on. Unlike conventional compost, Cranford’s Granulated Compost™ will penetrate easily deep down to the soil surface, leaving no obvious signs of topdressing, plus it’s odorless.
Text Box: Input costs for farming have increased drastically over the last few years. Compost enriched soil retains fertilizers better. Adding Cranford’s Granulated Compost™ to row crops can significantly lower fertilizing costs. Apply during pre-plant or planting through Gandy box (row applicator) at the rate of 32 lbs per acre.

EDITOR’S NOTE

We used this product prior to planting our test plot of our ‘no mow’ grass to ensure good growth; since planting, no fertilizers or weed control was necessary to achieve a healthy  and thick lawn.
